Privacy Policy

We built Clipack to be privacy-friendly. This page explains what we collect and why.

At a glance

  • Your files never leave your browser. All processing happens locally.
  • We collect your email address for authentication and notifications.
  • We track usage statistics (packs created), not file contents.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how the service is used.
  • Purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number.

What we collect

  • Email address: Required for account creation and authentication
  • Usage statistics: Number of packs created, timestamps, archive sizes (not file names or contents)
  • Payment records: Transaction history via Stripe (item, amount, date)

What we DON'T collect

We never access your files. All file processing happens entirely in your browser. Your clipart, images, and documents never leave your device.

  • No file uploads to our servers
  • No file names or metadata
  • No file contents or previews
  • No credit card numbers (handled by Stripe)

Why we collect it

  • Authentication: To identify you and secure your account
  • Notifications: To send important account updates and password resets
  • Usage tracking: To enforce usage limits and improve the service
  • Billing: To process payments and maintain transaction records

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with Clipack. This helps us improve the service and identify issues.

Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, time spent, browser type, and general location. You can opt out using browser extensions or privacy settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store card numbers. We keep purchase records (what you bought, amount, timestamps) as required for accounting, taxes, and fraud prevention.

Cookies & local storage

Clipack does not use first-party cookies. We use browser local storage for authentication tokens and settings. See our Cookies & Storage page for details.

Third-party services (Google Analytics, Google Login) may set their own cookies.

Data retention

  • Account data (email, usage stats) is kept while your account is active
  • Purchase records are retained as required by law (e.g., tax/audit)
  • You can request deletion of your account at any time

Your rights

  • Access: View your account data in the dashboard
  • Correct: Update your email or other information
  • Delete: Request account deletion by contacting us

Security

  • TLS encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere)
  • Passwords are securely hashed, never stored in plain text
  • JWT tokens for secure API authentication
  • Regular security updates and monitoring

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as Clipack evolves. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify users via email.
