Cookies & Storage

How we (and our partners) store information on your device.

Do we use cookies?

Clipack does not set first-party cookies. We use browser local storage instead of cookies for essential functionality like keeping you logged in.

However, third-party services we use (Google Analytics and Google Login) may set their own cookies to function properly.

What we store in local storage

We use your browser's local storage to save:

  • access_token — JWT token for API authentication (expires after 1 hour)
  • refresh_token — Token to get new access tokens (expires after 1 week)
  • settings — Your preferences (like archive size limit)

This data stays on your device and is necessary for the app to function. Clearing your browser data will log you out.

Third-party technologies

The following services may set cookies or use similar technologies:

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with Clipack. Google may set cookies to track visits and measure engagement.

Google Login (OAuth)

If you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies during the authentication process. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Managing storage

  • Clear local storage: Use your browser's developer tools or clear site data in settings. This will log you out.
  • Block third-party cookies: Use browser settings or extensions to block cookies from Google or other third parties.
  • Privacy extensions: Tools like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger can block analytics tracking.

Changes

We'll update this page if our use of cookies or storage changes.
